Bachelor in visual arts at Université de Laval since 1980 and member of the Regroupement des Artistes en Arts visuels du Québec, Tai NGUYEN, a Canadian artist born in 1958 in Vietnam, currently lives and works in Montreal.
In the creation of his works, he draws his inspiration from all sources: nature, Buddhism, meditation and the tumultuous course of his life. Over time, he constantly evolved and developed his own mixed technique, combining acrylic or oil paint on canvas to steel wool, sand, tissue paper and wood to give depth, richness and a unique texture to his paintings.
He presented his creations all throughout Canada and on several occasions in the United States. His works have always been part of numerous individual and group exhibitions of several art galleries and cultural educational centers, such as the Canadian Museum of Civilization (1998-2000) and the Art Galleries of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (1995).
Tai Nguyen’s semi-abstract art is an uncompromising universe; the main thing for the artist is to paint the forms he feels.
With his choice of bright colors and his provocative style, Tai Nguyen manages to arouse in us a range of emotions as well as to make us think, dream and give free rein to our imagination.
If the ultimate goal of a painter is to make us live this experience by letting us contemplate his works, Tai Nguyen has undoubtedly succeeded in presenting this collection to us.
You are therefore invited to experience this moment of discovery of the painter Tai Nguyen through the next exhibition.
